Number of foreign visitors to VN up 21% in 11 months

VGP – The number of foreign visitors to Viet Nam in November was estimated at 1.3 million ones, an increase of 8% against the previous month, raising the total number of foreign visitors to Viet Nam over 11 months of 2018 to 14.12 million ones, a year-on-year increase of 21.3%.

According to the statistics of the General Statistics Office, the number of foreigners to Viet Nam by air and road witnessed respective increases of 15.3% and 64.4% while the number of foreign visitors travelling by sea decreased 11.3%.

Over the recent 11 months of 2018, the number of foreigners to Viet Nam from Asia took the lead with nearly 11 million ones, accounting for 77.8% and up 25.3%. It was followed by visitors from Europe, America and Australia with 1.9 million ones, 830,700 ones and 403,700 ones, respectively.
