Number of foreign arrivals up 7.6%

VGP – The number of foreign visitors to Viet Nam in April obtained 1.468 million ones, raising the total number of foreign victors over the recent four months to 5.968 million ones, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%, according to the General Statistics Office.

Foreigners from Asia, Europe and America arriving in Viet Nam over the first four months of 2019 are estimated at 4.522 million, 891,000 and 375,000 ones, respectively.

In April, the number of foreigners travelling to Viet Nam by sea rocketed with 120.5% and by road up 5.9% while foreign arrivals travelling by road decreased 10.3% compared to the previous month.
