No new COVID-19 cases reported in VN within last 24 hours

VGP – As of 6:00 AM of April 9, Viet Nam reported no new cases of the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

So far, the nation has confirmed 251 infections with no death and 128 patients have been cleared of the virus and released from hospitals.

As many as 156 out of the total infection cases came from foreign countries, accounting for 62.6% and the rest contracted the virus due to close contact with the previously confirmed patients. 

Up to 77,292 people have been quarantined, including 642 (1%) at hospitals; 27,790 (36%) at quarantine camps; and 48,866 (64%) at places of residence. 

Of the current active cases, five patients with critical condition are using ventilators, 25 patients have tested negative for the virus for the first time and 17 others tested negative for the second time./.
