Ninh Binh wins world tourist honour

VGP – U.S. travel site Insider has named Viet Nam’s northern province of Ninh Binh as one of the 50 best spots to visit in 2018.

The honour reflects the province’s mesmerising mix of rivers, limestone cliffs and paddy fields

Ninh Binh is a province in the south of the northern plain, Ninh Binh borders to the central region by impressive mountain ranges of Tam Diep. Ninh Binhshares the administative border with Ha Nam in the North, Nam Dinh in the East, the East Sea in the Southeast, Thanh Hoa in the West and Southwest, and Hoa Binh in the Northwest.

Ninh Binh was one of the three locations for the movie Kong: Skull Island, one of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters of 2017.

It is a province with rich tourism potential. Nature has endowed this land many fascinating landscapes, famous caves of Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Dich Long, Tien cave, Hoa Son cave, and others.

Cuc Phuong National Park is famous for its rich flora and fauna, especially trees 1,000 years old. This land was once the ancient capital of the Republic of Ancient  Viet Nam (Viet Nam's ancient name) from 968 to 1010. 

So, this area has many historic sites like the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, the population of Phat Diem church, Non Nuoc Pagoda ...

All these relics and scenic spots have become very attractive tourist destination and foreign guests.Economically, Ninh Binh are qualified to develop adiversified agriculture, with the strength of industrial crops, fruit trees, planting and breeding of cattle.

The Insider’s 2018 list spans Europe and includes some of the world’s biggest cities, such as Buenos Aires, Chicago, London, Mexico, New Orleans and New York. 

In Asia, it recommends Singapore, Sichuan in mainland China, Indonesia’s Raja Ampat Islands and Taipei.
