New regulations on int’l multi-modal transportation business

VGP – The Government has recently promulgated Decree 144/2018/ND-CP (Decree 144) to amend and supplement Decrees on international multi-modal transportation.

Decree 144 amends and supplements some articles of Decree 87/2009/ND-CP, dated October 19, 2009 on international multi-modal transportation and Decree 89/2011/ND-CP, dated October 10, 2011 on multimodal transport, and granting of international multi-modal transportation business.

Each foreign enterprise and cooperative which is qualified for international multi-modal transportation in Viet Nam is required to submit a dossier to the Ministry of Transport by post or other modals in regulations.

Within five working days, the Ministry of Transport grants business licenses for businesses. A license is valid in five years./.
