National COVID-19 patient tally surpasses 60,000

VGP - The Ministry of Health confirmed one imported case and 2,154 locally-transmitted cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday morning, raising the national caseload to 60,180.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from July 1 to 6:00 am of July 20

Domestic infection cases are residents in HCMC (1,519), Binh Duong (156), Tien Giang (133), Dong Nai (80), Vinh Long (43), Khanh Hoa (38), Ben Tre (34), Da Nang (32), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (26), Can Tho (22), Phu Yen (12), Hau Giang (10), Kien Giang (8), Vinh Phuc (7), Ha Noi (6), Binh Phuoc (6), An Giang (6), Dong Thap (6), Dak Lak (2), Quang Ngai (2), Bac Lieu (2), Lam Dong (2), Lang Son (1) and Quang Nam (1), Of these, 1,903 were detected at quarantine camps and lockdown areas.

Among the national patient tally, 58,100 are community infection cases, including 56,530 documented in 58 cities and provinces since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence began. 

Eleven out of the above localities have gone 14 days without community infection, namely Yen Bai, Quang Tri, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh and Bac Kan.

As of late July 19, 4,305,501 vaccine doses were administered, with 309,791 people fully vaccinated./.
