National COVID-19 patient tally surpasses 5,000

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 72 new COVID-19 cases over the last 18 hours, bringing the national patient tally to 5,013.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases confirmed from May 1 to 12 am on May 222

The latest patients include two Indian nationals who flew from India to Viet Nam on May 21.

All the other patients are local infection cases reported in Bac Giang (45), Bac Ninh (three), Thai Binh (one), Hai Duong (six) and Dien Bien (one), Ha Noi (ten), Hung Yen (four).

Viet Nam is experiencing the fourth wave of local transmissions, with 1,962 domestic cases confirmed in 30 cities and provinces since April 27, 2021.
