NA Standing Committee convenes seventh session

VGP - The National Assembly’s Standing Committee convened its seventh session in April 10 in Hà Nội to discuss on draft laws and work out legislative program for the National Assembly in 2013.

National Assembly Chairman said that the country is facing major difficulties that hamper economic development and social welfare.

The Chairman asked the participants to seek ways to tackle social issues like traffic accidents and congestion, domestic violence, food safety, diseases, education and health care.

During the 10 days, the delegates will discuss 13 draft laws, including the Law on Administrative Sanctions; the Law on Việt Nam’s Seas; the Law on National Reserves; the Law on Pricing; the revised Law on Water Resources; the revised Law on Publishing; the Law on amendments and supplements to articles of the Law on Lawyers; the Law on Electricity; the Law on Legal Education and Dissemination; the Law on Judicial Assessments; the Law on Libraries and the Law on Advertising.

They will also review the progress of the 2011 plan for socio-economic development and put forward proposals for the country’s economic restructuring./.
