NA chief visits India’s "Silicon Valley"

VGP – NA Chairman Nguyễn Phú Trọng, who is on a visit to India at the invitation of Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Ms. Meiira Kumar, on Friday made a tour to Bangalore City, the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka.

Representatives of Karnataka’s Vidhan Sabha (lower house) and Vidhabn Parishad (upper house) welcomed Mr. Trọng at the Bangalore Airport.

Bangalore is considered as the Asian “Silicon Valley" and a “hi-tech city.”

Earlier, NA Chairman Trọng and his entourage had visited Bodh Gaya, where Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, achieved enlightenment.

He also visited the Việt Nam Phật Quốc Pagoda which was built in 2003.

Today, NA Chairman Trọng meets leaders of the Karnataka legislature and attends the India-Việt Nam Business Forum.
