More than 580 Vietnamese fly home from Singapore, US

VGP – More than 580 citizens have flown home from Singapore and the US over the past two days, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Specifically, a VietJet Air flight carrying more than 240 Vietnamese citizens from Singapore landed at the Can Tho International Airport on August 12.

On August 11, a Viet Nam Airlines flight carrying more than 340 Vietnamese citizens from the US landed at the Van Don International Airport on August 11.

The passengers include children under 18, the elderly, students who completed their courses and could not have their visas extended, businessmen and intellectuals. 

Upon arrival, all the passengers and crew members were medically checked and quarantined in accordance with the current regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

Since April 10, Viet Nam has organized 97 rescue flights, bringing home 24,269 Vietnamese citizens stranded abroad due to COVID-19./.
