The seven-day Lunar New

The decision was made after the MOLISA collected comments from the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Viet Nam General Federation of Labor.

The MOLISA is submitting the option to the Government for approval.

Earlier, the ministry proposed two options. Under the first option, government offices and state-owned companies will close for seven days from February 14-20.  Under the second option, the holiday will start on February 15, a day before Tet, and run until February 21, the fifth day of the New Year.

Schools and other businesses across the country usually follow the same break as government offices./.
