Mekong Delta exports 4 million tons of rice in nine months

VGP – Provinces in the Mekong Delta exported more than 4 million tons in the first nine months of the year, worth US$1.84 billion and accounting for 64.2% of the year’s plan.

The Mekong Delta expects to export 6.3 million tons of rice in 2014.

In 2014, the region has launched a number of measures to help businesses advertise their product and realize trade promotion activities in Asia, the EU and North America.

Local businesses have poured VND600 billion purchasing modern technology to improve the product quality to meet the consumers’ demands in the EU, North America, Japan and Australia.
