JICA plans to sign the loan agreements on two important projects of the Nội Bài International Airport and the Nội Bài-Nhật Tân Highway in March 2010.

At the same time, Việt Nam and Japan will sign the loan agreement for phase 1 of the project Hoà Lạc Hi-tech Park.

Japan will carry out the first ODA project in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model for the infrastructure construction of the Lạch Huyện Port in North Việt Nam in 2010.

Besides, the Japanese side will push up the implementation of such projects as Nhật Tân Bridge, the approach road of Thanh Trì Bridge and Beltway 3 to celebrate the millennium anniversary of Thăng Long-Hà Nội.

In Hồ Chí Minh City, JICA has been preparing for the construction contracts on the Underground Line 1 and the East-West Avenue.

In addition, Japan can provide loans for the project on the section from Đà Nẵng City to Quảng Ngãi in the North-South Highway.

These financial commitments of Japan’s Government are expected to help Việt Nam cope with consequences from the economic crisis in 2009.
