Leaders send messages of sympathies to Sri Lankan counterparts

VGP – Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong conveyed a message of condolences to Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena over a series of terrorist bombings leading to massive deaths and injuries.

The same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan offered condolences to their Sri Lankan counterparts Ranil Wickremesinghe and Karu Jayasuriya. 

Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh also sent a message of condolences to Sri Lankan FM Tilak Janak Marapana.

The Viet Nam Embassy in Sir Lanka on April 21 reported that no Vietnamese citizens have been reported among victims of explosions in Sri Lanka. 

The embassy has been working closely with local competent agencies to keep update on the situation and promptly carry out citizen protection measures when necessary.

Eight bombings ripped through churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on April 21, leaving over 200 dead and injuring at least 450 others./.
