Leaders send condolences over air plane accident in Russia

VGP – Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen PhuTrong on May 6 cabled a message of condolences to Russian President V. Putin over heavy losses from the incident involving an Aeroflot plane at Sheremetyevo International Airport, Moscow.

The same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his condolences to his Russian counterpart D. Medvedev.

At least 41 people died after a Russian Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjetplane made an emergency landing due to fire on board in Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport, investigators said in a statement.

"There were 78 people on board, including crew members," the Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement on its website.
