Leaders pay tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh

VNGOP – Commemorating the 38th anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh’s death (September 2, 1969), Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh and State President Nguyễn Minh Triết visited the President Hồ Chí Minh Memorial Area at the Presidential Palace and burnt incense in memory of late President Hồ Chí Minh, brilliant leader of the Vietnamese nation and the world’s cultural celebrity.

The Party chief and the State President stated that the Memorial Area is a great school for the Vietnamese people to learn lessons on the beloved Uncle Hồ’s virtuous characters, simple lifestyle and wholehearted devotion to the people and the country.
General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh emphasized that the preservation and protection of artifacts and souvenirs relating to President Hồ Chí Minh will help provide Vietnamese people and international friends with an insight in His dignity. This work not only expresses the Vietnamese people’s sentiment and responsibility to the late President but also helps to engage all people in the cause of building a rich and powerful Vietnamese country of equality, democracy and civilization.
The Party and State leaders showed their desire that the staff of the Memorial Area will do their best to preserve the nation’s invaluable heritages.
In the morning of August 31, in Hà Nội, the delegation of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee, State, Government, National Assembly, and the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee also laid wreaths at President Hồ Chí Minh’s Mausoleum.
