Large part of Buon Ma Thuot city to be put under lockdown to trace COVID-19 infections

VGP – As many as 16 out of 21 wards and communes in Buon Ma Thuot - the capital city of the central highland province of Dak Lak will be put under lockdown from November 6-8 for large-scale testing following detection of community infection cases of COVID-19.

A resident in Buon Ma Thuot is being tested

The city has set up 204 teams to collect test samples of all 294,959 residents in these wards and communes.

Specifically, on November 6, curfew will be imposed at Ea Tam, Tan Tien, Tu An, Tan Loi wards and Cu Ebur commune.  

On November 7, lockdown order will be applied at Tan Loi, Tan Lap, Tan An wards and Hoa Thuan and Hoa Thang communes.

On November 8, the order will be imposed in Thang Loi, Tan Hoa, Thanh Nhat, Thanh Cong, Tan Thanh, Thong Nhat wards and Ea Tu communes.

As of 6:00 am on November 5, Dak Lak province reported 4,706 cases of COVID-19, including 1,088 cases in Buon Ma Thuot city./.
