Lao, VN diplomats boost ties

Mr. Quan hailed the three-day visit of the Lao delegation, saying that it will contribute to furthering the comprehensive cooperation between the two commissions and boost the special ties that the two countries enjoy.

For his part, a Politburo member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Deputy PM and Foreign Minister of Laos Thoonglun Sisulith thanked the Vietnamese side for the warm welcome.

He expressed his pleasure to visit Viet Nam in the first days of the Lunar New Year.

During the talks, Both sides updated each other on the situation of their respective parties and countries, while discussing specific measures and orientations to effectively realise agreements reached by senior leaders of the two Parties and States.

In addition, two sides touched upon regional and international issues of mutual concern.
