Korea firms seek investment opportunities in HCM City

Businessmen from lncheon are seeking cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese enterprises
All of them came from Incheon City. They have the intention which is to provide technical assistance for production and transfer technologies to Vietnamese enterprises, Mr. Lee Nam-Joo, representative of the Incheon Business Agency (IBA) said.

He also pointed their hi-tech strengths, especially in cosmetics and information technology.

Under a memorandum of understanding signed in 2007 by IBA and HCM City’s Investment and Trade Promotion Center, the agency pledges to send two working groups with 10 firms each to the Vietnamese city each year to look for partnerships.

Up to date, some 100 firms from Incheon and around 50 Vietnamese enterprises have sealed their cooperation agreements.

Meanwhile, Incheon City has ignited promotional activities to tighten the knots between district-to-district enterprises of both cities.

Earlier, another 30 Korean enterprise representatives from Pusan City visited Việt Nam mainly to seek cooperation opportunities in electronics, precise engineering and packaging.
