KOICA helps ethnic minority in Lao Cai

VGP - The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) cooperated with the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai to launch a US$14 million program for the 2015-2017 phase on February 10.

The program aims to improve the living conditions of ethnic minority residents in Lao Cai Province.

Accordingly, the program will build rural roads in remote areas to increase incomes for ethnic minority and improve capacity in terms of education and health.

KOICA Chief Representative Chang Jae Yun asserted that by raising the incomes for ethnic minority in the North and improving their lives, the program is expected to bring healthier and happier lives for local people as well as strengthen the cooperation and exchanges between the two nations.
