This is the fifth visit to Da Nang City of the Japanese Coast Guard.

The ship’s crew will visit the Da Nang People’s Committee, Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre Region II and Marine Police Vessels of Coast Guard Region 2.

The visit affirms the strong relations between the Viet Nam Marine Police and the Japanese Coast Guard with the aim of ensuring maritime security and safety in the region.

It also creates an opportunity for the two sides to share and learn experience in law enforcement on sea and strengthen exchanges, cooperation and mutual knowledge.

The Viet Nam Marine Police and the Japanese Coast Guard are active members of the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP) and Heads of Asia Coast Guard Agencies Meeting (HACGAM).

Over the recent years, both sides have enhanced close coordination in improving the enforcement of maritime laws.
