Japan seeking three Vietnamese sailors near Shiraoi port

VGP – Despite active search efforts, Japan has not found three Vietnamese sailors who are still missing from the Taiwanese fishing vessel, Hsiang Fur Far, near Shiraoi port, Northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido.

The sailors – Le Van Thuc, Thieu Dinh Thuong, and Nguyen Dinh Nga – were reported to jump into the sea, about 12km out from the seaport, on October 8.

Currently, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan is working with competent agencies of Japan to search for them and the Foreign Ministry Consular Department is working to identify information relevant to the missing./.
