ITU workshop held in central city

VGP - The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organized a regional workshop on International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) system from June 7-8 in the central city of Đà Nẵng.

The regional workshop on IMT is held from June 7-8 in Đà Nẵng City, Việt Nam
The IMT workshop was attended by many experienced experts in radio frequency from different countries and the world’s leading telcos.

At the workshop, Việt Nam pledged to actively participate in regional and international radio frequency and telecommunications activities.

Addressing the workshop, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Lê Nam Thắng said Việt Nam has just implemented 3G networks in 2010, but it is good time for IMT to develop in the country.

Representatives of the Vietnamese delegation, the Authority of Radio Frequency Management, presented viewpoints and challenges Việt Nam faces when making plans on IMT development.

Two key Vietnamese telecommunications operators, VNPT and Viettel, shared experiences of implementing 3G and 4G roadmaps with their regional peers.
