Israeli specialist confirmed latest case of COVID-19, total rises to 1,203

VGP – A 60-year-old Israeli specialist was confirmed as the latest case of COVID-19 on Wednesday morning, bringing the patient tally to 1,203, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The latest male patient took the flight QR976 from Qatar to Ha Noi-based Noi Bai International Airport on October 31 and was quarantined immediately upon his arrival.

He has been isolated and treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District, Ha Noi.

At present, 1,069 out of 1,202 COVID-19 patients have recovered and exited hospitals, accounting for 89% while 35 others have been reported dead.

The nation is placing 15,260 people under quarantine and medical surveillance, including 198 at hospitals, 13,837 at centralized quarantine camps and 1,225 at places of residence./.
