Industry Minister attends 17th Asian Business Conference

VNGOP – At the invitation of the President of the Asia Society and under the authorization of the PM, Industry Minister Hoàng Trung Hải attended the 17th Annual Business Conference held on May 16-18 in Tokyo (Japan). The conference attracted about 600 delegates, including senior officials, representatives of big groups and companies, and scholars from 17 Asian economies.

As a leading speaker at the Conference, Minister Hoàng Trung Hải gave a speech on major tendencies of the regional economy in the years to come, prospects for economic cooperation in the region, role of the multinational groups and bilateral and regional efforts to speed up economic integration and collaboration in Asia. Minister Hoàng Trung Hải reaffirmed the Vietnamese Government's determination to integrate into the regional and world economy as well as boost economic renovation. Most of businesses highly appreciated Vietnam's potentialities and showed their special attention to the opportunities for investment in Vietnam as the 150th WTO member.

Receiving Ms. Vishakha Desai, President of the Asia Society, Minister Hoàng Trung Hải thanked the Society for promoting the Vietnam-US relation and asked the Society to continue its support the two countries' educational and training cooperation. The Minister also had receptions and meetings with many Japanese groups and Asia Society members who are planning to do investment and business in Vietnam.
