Indian businesses seek investment opportunity in Binh Duong province

VGP - Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province Tran Thanh Liem has received a delegation of the Indian Federation of Industries, led by Rafiv Bodwade, the First Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Viet Nam.

At the reception, the vice chairman said that Binh Duong has so far absorbed around US$28billion in FDI capital, ranking second nationwide in FDI attraction only after HCM city. The whole province now has five Indian businesses in industries of spice, agriculture, electricity and garment with a total investment capital of around US$170million. 

Mr. Liem added that the province has continued calling for investment in hi-tech and environmentally friendly industries; always created favorable conditions for businesses to seek investment opportunities and opportunely death with their queries in the process of business and production. 

He also wanted that members of the delegation will introduce the local investment climate to Indian businesses.

In turn, Mr.Rafiv Bodwade affirmed the fine friendship and cooperation between two coutries. 

According to the latest statistics, the total bilateral trade between Viet Nam and India in 2017 reached more than US$10billion, up nearly 30% compared to 2016 and is likely to achieve US$15billion in 2020. 

Along successful industries of mining, sugar cane, petroleum exploitation in Viet Nam, Indian businesses also realized cooperation potential in others like agricultural production, pharmaceuticals and others.
