IMF leader hails VN's socio-economic development

VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng received on May 23 Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Takatoshi Kato who is paying an working visit to Vietnam on May 23-24/5.

Mr. Takatoshi Kato highly spoke of Vietnam's socio-economic development in the recent years, especially in attracting foreign investments.

The IMF Deputy Director also mentioned opportunities and challenges for Vietnam to keep firm her high and sustainable economic growth, control macro-economy and State budget, and prevent inflation.

After briefing some fundamental policies on renovation which are recognized and lauded by the international community, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng confirmed that the Vietnamese Government is willing and wishes to cooperate more effectively with IMF, especially in consulting macro-economic policies and training qualified human resource for Vietnam to maintain a high and sustainable socio-economic growth rate./.
