The campaign is implemented by the Blue and Green Club with the assistance of the Nam Định Department of Natural Resources and Environment. It is part of the “Change behavior, stop consuming wildlife animal products” Project of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Southeast Asian Wildlife Trade Monitoring Network TRAFFIC.

40 volunteers have been recruited to personally drop by 150 restaurants and encourage their owners to stop putting wildlife on their menus, club Director Phạm Đình Ngọc reported.

“Green Restaurant” campaign was successfully carried out in Hà Nội in 2009 with over 160 restaurants in the city had pledged not to sell products made from wild animals and plants.

Meanwhile, the WWF hopes that the campaign will be launched in other localities nationwide, and even over the world.
