Hotline opened for overseas Vietnamese in Mexico

VGP – The Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico has launched a hotline to provide timely assistance for overseas Vietnamese in need in Mexico, affirmed Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

Ms. Hang made the announcement on September 21 in Ha Noi at the ministry’s regular press conference.

On this occasion, the Spokesperson extended the deepest condolences and sympathy to the Government and people of Mexico and families of the victims in the earthquake.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico is making all-out effort to maintain contacts with and provide needed citizen protection measures for the Vietnamese living and working in Mexico, which has severely hit by a powerful earthquake.

The Embassy of Viet Nam in Mexico reported that no Vietnamese got injuries in the earthquake and it has promptly provided temporary shelters for some whose accommodations were damaged by the disaster.

Earlier, State President Tran Dai Quang on September 20 cabled a message of condolences to Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto and Deputy PM and FM Pham Binh Minh also extended condolences to FM Luis Videgaray Caso./.
