HN’s CPI increase rate down 3 times in March

VGP – Hà Nội has witnessed consumer price index (CPI) increase in March to drop three times against the previous month.

According to the Hà Nội Statistic Office, the city’s CPI increase in March, standing at 0.75%, is 4.72% higher than in December, 2009. 

Compared to last month, except for posts and telecommunications (unchanged) and food (down 0.35%), other commodities have seen slight increases. 

Food and catering services have experienced the biggest rise of 1.23%.

Relatively high rises, from 0.12% to 0.92%, were seen in culture-entertainment and tourism, housing, electricity, fuel and building materials, transport, drinks and tobacco, domestic utensils and applications. 

Medicines and health services, education, garments have suffered the lowest figures of 0.01-0.05%. 

In the capital city, gold price this month has jumped 0.59% against February but dropped 4.53% against December 2009. Meanwhile, the price of US dollar has gone up 0.49% against the previous month and declined slightly against the end of 2009.
