HN to open flower festival for 1000th birthday

VGP – A flower festival will take place at the Princess’ Place in the Thăng Long Citadel to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thăng Long–Hà Nội.

The event will display beautiful orchids from Đà Lạt, a center of flowers in Việt Nam’s Central Highlands, and honor traditional embroidery and embroider artisans.

The organizing board plans to showcase 12 most typical two-sided embroidered paintings. There will have a tea ceremony and folk music performance.

On October 1, southern artists will present a painting entitled “Thăng Long’s thousand-year wishes” to the festival.
