HN: CPI in April up 0.2%

VGP – Ha Noi’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in April increased 0.2% compared to the previous month and 0.74% against the same period last year, according to the city’s Statistical Office.

This is the second successive month The capital's CPI witnessed a slight increase, which is still lower than the same period last year (up 0.38%).

Rises in oil and gas price (March 11) and electricity price (March 16) led to the increases in prices of the  transport group and the other of housing, electricity, water, fuel and building material of 2.5% and 1.84%, respectively.

The other two groups of household appliances and garments, hats and footwear saw rises in prices of 0.34% and 0.25%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the prices of restaurants and food services and telecommunications witnessed decreases of 0.49% and 0.16%, respectively.
