Health ministry confirms 61st COVID-19 infection case

VGP – The latest patient is a 42-year old man in Thuan Nam district of the central province of Ninh Thuan, according to the Ministry of Health.

He left for Malaysia on February 27 and flew to Ho Chi Minh City on flight VJ826 on March 4.

On March 10, the man showed symptoms of sore throat and fever and went to Ninh Thuan’s General Hospital on March 15 for medical checks and treatment.

Earlier the same day, the ministry reported three new infection cases, including two Vietnamese and one French national.

Of the total COVID-19 patients in Viet Nam, 16 had been cleared of the virus and discharged from hospitals. All the rest have been reported since March 6./.
