HCMC to build five metro routes with ODA capital

VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng agreed to include five metro routes in Hồ Chí Minh City in the list of priority projects for ODA capital. He assigned the City People’s Committee to allocate capital in setting up the projects, work with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to mobilize ODA capital in the time to come.

In regard of the Thủ Thiêm Urban Quarter, the City People’s Committee should plan to mobilize investment capitals, even by issuing governmental bonds, in order to implement the Project.

The PM entrusted the Ministry of Transport to work out the overall planning scheme on transport network connecting Hồ Chí Minh City with other localities in the southern major economic zone.

The Ministry of Transport was required to collaborate with relevant ministries, sectors and Hồ Chí Minh City in fulfilling their assignments, especially removing the ports in Sài Gòn River on schedule.

The City was allowed to collect technical infrastructure fees in new urban quarters and the old downtown. Some charges will be paid upon the transactions relating to residential land and houses within these areas.
