HCMC leader receives U.S. Ambassador

VGP – Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong in Ha Noi on October 23 received outgoing U.S. Ambassador to Viet Nam Ted Osius.

At the reception, Ted Osius thanked the local government for facilitating U.S. investors’ operation in Ho Ci Minh City and looked forward to more support from the city for them in the coming time.

In turn, Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong who is Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, praised the ambassador for his effort  to foster the Viet Nam-U.S. comprehensive partnership during his term.

He believes that the upcoming visit of U.S. President Donald Trump to Viet Nam and his attendance in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Da Nang this November will take the ties to a new height. He hoped that Osius, in any capacity, will continue enhancing the U.S.’s relations with Viet Nam and HCM City in particular.
