HCM City hosts Vietstock 2014

VGP - Businesses from Viet Nam, Denmark,the Czech Republic, the UK and the Netherlands are displaying their products, technologies and equipment at the ongoing International Feed, Livestock and Meat Processing Show (Vietstock 2014) in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the opening ceremony on October 15, head of the Husbandry Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Thanh Van said the event provides a good chance for domestic and foreign businesses to introduce their scientific and technological achievements and new technologies in the livestock industry.
 
It also helps domestic scientists, managers and breeders share experience and update advanced technologies, he added.
 
Around 250 local and international enterprises from 30 countries join the event.
 
Exhibits are advanced technology solutions in cattle-breeding, dairy production, and meat processing.
 
During the event, which will run untill October 17, a number of seminars will also be held, with a focus on hot issues of the livestock industry, such as animal feed quality management and safety, opportunity and challenges to the meat processing industry in Viet Nam, solutions for epidemics’ challenges, and productivity improvement through nutrition.
 
Organizers said Vietstock 2014 also help farmers, integrators, feed millers, mixers, veterinarians and processors share experiences and look for partners and be able to update on new technologies and market trends.
