HCM City boosts comprehensive cooperation with Lao province

VGP - Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang on March 28 received Party Secretary and Mayor of Vientiane Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune.

A the reception, the Vientiane leader said that his visit aimed to present Laos’ Development Order, first class, to the Vietnamese southern hub’s party organisation, authorities and people for their support for Laos and Vientiane in particular.

During his stay, he also wished to exchange experience in tax collection and customs with the City.

In turn, the Secretary said that Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane have achieved good results via cooperation programs since his visit to Laos in May 2016.

A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City came to Vientiane to transfer technology to city's experts and collaborate with the city in trade & investment, he said.

Ho Chi Minh City also decided to increase number of scholarships for Vientiane pupils and students, Mr.Thang added.
