Hai Duong leads in attracting FDI

VGP – The Northern Hai Duong Province has attracted a total newly-registered capital of US$248 million for eight Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects in the first three months of 2014.

According to the province’s Department of Planning and Investment, six FDI projects have had an additional capital of US$71.4 million, which has raised the total FDI capital to US$319.4 million in the first quarter, 11.1 times higher than the same period last year.

The province has also set the goals of attracting US$450 million in FDI in 2014, of which US$300 million are newly-registered capital and US$150 million are additional capital and disbursing US$200 million this year.

The Dai An Viet Nam-Canada International Hospital project, worth US$225 million, was the largest FDI-invested project in Viet Nam in the first quarter of this year.
