Ha Noi lures US$919 million in FDI in 9 months

VGP - Ha Noi attracted US$ 919.3 million in FDI in the first 9 months of this year, down 12% from the same period last year.

During the reviewed period, the city licensed 155 FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$579.1 million and saw 76 operational FDI projects increasing their capital by US$340.2 million.

Up to 78.9% of the fresh FDI has engaged in the communications industry, 9.5% in trade, and 4.1% in construction.

Between January and September, Ha Noi saw US$700 million in FDI disbursed, up 15% year on year, according to the municipal Department of Planning and Investment.

This year, the city expects to have 400 new FDI projects totaling US$1 billion, and see capital increases of US$500 million in 70 operating FDI projects.
