Hà Nội, HCMC: CPI up below 1% in June

VGP – The Statistic Offices of Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City reported that, the consumer price index (CPI) of these two cities has increased by 0.91% and 0.6% respectively in June.

In Hà Nội, CPI in June has gone up 11.86% compared to the same period last year.

All ten groups of consumer goods increased. The sharpest increase was seen in catering services (18.52%).

As calculated by economists, the price increase in the first half in Hà Nội was 2.51%, starting to slow down.

CPI in Hồ Chí Minh City has risen by 0.6% against May and by 3.13% per month during the first half.

In June, catering services went up by 0.6%; beverage and cigarette ( 0.08%); housing, electric and water supplies, building materials ( 1.41%); domestic utensils ( 0.74%); transport and telecommunication ( 0.81%); amusement and tourist services ( 0.7%); and other services ( 0.4%). Only medicines and health services saw the decrease of 0.34%.
