The festival, themed “Peace – prosperity – cooperation and development”, aims to promote cultural exchange, friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
As many as 500 cherry blossom branches from Japan are expected to be showcased at the event, along with a wide range of art performances.
In addition, the event will include exhibitions featuring culture, tourism and cuisine from Viet Nam and Japan, film screenings and workshops on health care, education and the environment.
The festival’s opening ceremony will entertain local audiences and visitors with traditional cultural and art performances by artists from both nations.
The annual festival is organised by the Ha Long city People’s Committee in collaboration with Japan’s Wanokai International Culture Association.
