Gov’t pumps money for flood-hit provinces’ recovery

VGP – The PM just directed the Ministry of Finance to advance VND 61.6 billion from the State budget for eight central provinces to overcome consequences of flood.

People’s Committees of these provinces are required to apportion and use the funds properly.

They must also spend their own budgets and mobilize other legal financial sources to back local people’s production activities.

Recently, the PM decided on December 3 to allocate VND 335 billion from the State budget of 2010 and 8,600 tons of rice from the national reserves for 11 flood-hit provinces.
