According to Mr. Phuc, over the past years, the Government has allocated budget and mobilized resources for rural and agricultural development; invested in infrastructure development, especially key transport, irrigation, and dyke projects in response to natural disasters and climate change.

Regarding interior affairs, the Government reviewed, assessed and reorganized the State apparatus and personnel; and proposed an 8% rise in monthly salary for three groups of people including retirees, people with special contributions to the Vietnamese revolution, and civil servants who have a salary coefficient of 2.34 or lower.

However, the report also pointed out weaknesses in luring investment in the agricultural and rural areas and difficulties in consumption of agricultural products.

Other hot topics included the fight against corruption, the settlement of accusations and complaints and anti-smuggling.

Deputy PM Phuc affirmed that the Government seriously listened and collected comments from the NA deputies to further improve the efficiency of management.

Right after the Q-A session, the Government would review the implementation of hot topics and clarify the responsibilities of relevant ministers and ministerial-level leaders./.
