Gov’t holds second meeting on public investment disbursement

This is the second meeting on this topic since July 16 as the Government considers public investment disbursement as the key solution to economic recovery amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Government established seven delegations led by the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and Minister to have direct working sessions with localities over the past five weeks.

Addressing the meeting this morning, Phuc reiterated the Government’s determination to disburse VND 630 trillion this year, asking the participants to review disbursement progress and frankly point out obstables, especially for major projects like the North-South Expressway, Long Thanh International Airport, and My Thuan-Can Tho Expressway.

Thanks to drastic efforts over the past time, five ministries and 19 localities reported disbursement rate of over 60% while other 29 ministries and six localities said their disbursement rate remained low (below 35%)./.
