Gov’t decides to extend visa exemption for citizens from eight countries

VGP – The Government has decided to extend visa exemption for citizens from Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Demark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Belarus until December 31, 2022.

Accordingly, citizens from the aforesaid countries shall not be required to apply for visa if duration of stay does not exceed 15 days since they receive the entry permit, regardless of their passport types. 

At present, tourists from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy are also exempt from Viet Nam entry visas until June 30, 2021 for stays of up to 15 days.

So far Viet Nam has unilaterally exempted visas for citizens of 13 countries and the officials of the ASEAN Secretariat and signed bilateral agreements on visa exemption with 90 countries.
