The order was made during the Deputy PM’s working session with leaders of the Central Highlands province of Lâm Đồng this morning.

Mr. Hải pointed out that the essential transport network must be developed and finished soon in Lâm Đồng to link the province with the neighboring localities, the country’s key economic zones, and ASEAN countries as well.

Accordingly, the Government will prioritize State budget allocation for upgrading National Highway 20 connecting Hồ Chí Minh City and Đà Lạt, the capital city of Lâm Đồng Province, and Highway 27 linking Lâm Đồng and the neighboring province of Đắk Lắk.

The MOT was also assigned to work with the Civil Aviation Administration of Việt Nam to open air routes from Đà Lạt to Cambodia’s Siem Reap and to Singapore in the near future.

Modern infrastructure is not only an important precondition for Việt Nam but also for the province to liberate its potentials, particularly in tourism, bio-diversity, and hi-tech agriculture for stronger comprehensive socio-economic development.
