The report clearly presented socio-economic achievements and highlighted the Government's determination to extricate difficulties; maintain regular dialogues; promote administrative reform; cut costs; strengthen responsibilities of heads; build a constructive, action, and serving Government; promote integration; and fulfill the NA’s set norms.

Outstanding achievements in 2017 included stable macro-economy, and  positive economic growth towards 6.7% for 2017.

In the first nine months, foreign reserve reached a record high with an additional purchase of US$ 6 billion; public debts were kept at reasonable level and showed signs of declining.

The Government has taken numerous solutions to tightening  management of natural resources; protecting  the environment; seriously punishing  illegal sand exploitation; overcoming  natural disasters; and accelerating  the administrative reform.

However, the report also clearly pointed out weaknesses in low growth quality, limited labor productivity, poor competitiveness, scientific and technological market development, disease prevention, and food safety.

The report also gave overall goals on socio-economic performance especially on GDP growth rate, job settlement, poverty reduction, environmental management, and social security./.
