Gov’t chief ratifies foreign-financed projects

VGP – The PM okayed on July 02 some projects funded by international donors with dozens of millions of dollars.

The ratified projects include:

- Project “Assistance to effective policy-making through science-based research” granted with a non-fundable aid of over US $3.5 million by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP);

- Project “Investment in digital network” consuming loans from the Việt Nam-France Finance Protocol;

- Project “Urgent aid for standardizing, timely responding to and containing porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) and other pig diseases” funded by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization with US $429,000;

- Project “Construction of sewage drainage and disposal in Cao Bằng Town” invested by the Danish Government with over 8,947,000.

The PM also approved the results of the negotiations with the World Bank for a loan agreement to fund the Project “Transport Development in the Red River Delta.”

The Government chief gave nod to the Hà Nội Architectural University’s adoption of the Project “Planning and policy on urban development in the era of globalization” financed with over US $910,800 by the Ford Foundation.
