Gov’t chief meets with Thai CEOs

During the official visit to Thailand at the invitation of Thai PM Prayuth Chan-o-cha, PM Phuc met with leaders of AMATA Group, SGC Group, Big C & BJC Group, Thai Beverage PLC, Central Group, and Kasikom Bank.

During a reception for Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief 

Executive Officer at AMATA Corporation Public Company Limited, PM Phuc said that the Vietnamese Government always facilitates foreign investors' operation including AMATA.

The AMATA Chairman took the occasion to thank the PM and the Vietnamese Government for their support to the Group during its 20-year operation in Viet Nam from a small company to a leading business especially in Quang Ninh province.

The AMATA Chairman also pledged to contribute to development path in Quang Ninh and expressed his aspiration to develop a smart city in Quang Ninh.

Receiving SCG President and CEO Roongrote Rangsiyopash, PM Phuc voiced his support for SCG’s operation in Viet Nam especially the Long Son Petrochemicals Company Limited (LSP) in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province with a total investment of US$ 5.4 billion.

The same day, PM Phuc hosted a reception for Mr. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, the second richest person in Thailand, who led TTC Holdings.

Mr. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi expressed his delight to do long-term business in Viet Nam and bring Vietnamese products to the outside world via Big C supermarket chain. The businessman also expected to invest in Sabeco and sought the Vietnamese Government’s backing for the process.  

In reply, PM Phuc welcomed Big C for deploying numerous programs which advertise Vietnamese products abroad. The Government chief recommended Big C facilitate the sale of Vietnamese agricultural products./.
