On February 20, he continued to chair a Government permanent meeting on measures to speed up the construction progress of Trung Luong-My Thuan Expressway.

These meetings aimed to deal with pressing issues for the potential region which is struggling with difficulties and has yet flourished in accordance with its potentials.

Regarding the problem of declining rice prices, PM Phuc noticed the importance of rice restructuring and food safety in the new era.

Meanwhile, Trung Luong-My Thuan Expresswy is of great significance as it will connect the Mekong Delta Region with HCMC and the Southern key economic hub. Hence, PM Phuc directed synchronous measures to speed up progress and put the project into operation in 2020. The Ministry of Transport and the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee were asked to seriously implement the assignment.
